Wearing bronzer is like going to the beach every morning; it’s like sunshine in a compact – without the harmful rays! A good bronzer when applied properly will become your new best friend. It will instantly liven up your complexion, warm up your skin tone and give you a gorgeous, youthful, sun-kissed glow in seconds. And, who doesn’t want that!
With these bronzer basics you’ll achieve a natural-looking summer glow at any age.
EXFOLIATE
Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate!
Bronzer looks best when applied to soft, smooth skin. Exfoliating with a gentle scrub regularly (approx. 2 to 3 times a week) not only creates a smooth base so that makeup can blend flawlessly on the skin, but also helps to keep your complexion looking radiant.

THE PERFECT SHADE
When choosing a bronzer, select a shade that resembles the colour of your skin when it has a natural tan.  A good rule of thumb is not to go more than two shades darker than your complexion – this will give you a natural bronze glow.
APPLYING POWDER BRONZER
Powder-based bronzers are super easy to apply and the easiest way to get sun-kissed. Use a matte bronzer or one with subtle shimmer for a natural healthy-glow.
Begin by swirling a large fluffy powder brush into the bronzer; tap it off on the back of your hand to remove the excess powder.
Apply with a light hand; create the shape of the number ‘3’ on each side of your face. Focus on the areas where the sun most naturally hits your face: Starting at your forehead, down to your temples, cheeks, jawline and chin, then a light sweep down your nose.
Start with light layers and add more if needed to build up intensity; blend well. Remember to sweep a little on your neck and chest for a nice, even application.
FINISH THE LOOK
Minimal makeup will compliment your new summer glow. A few sweeps of mascara + a soft pink blush to highlight the apples of the cheeks and a touch of gloss is all you need to complete your fresh summer look.
